Day 1Cochin

On arrival, you will be met by our representative at the airport who will accompany you to
your hotel in Cochin. You will have the afternoon at leisure, in the evening you will witness the traditional Kathakali dance, which involves the stunning use of masks, and make up.

Day 2Cochin - Munnar ( 150KMS/4HRS 30 MINS )

Morning after breakfast, will do a tour of Cochin City.during the tour you will visit Fort Cochin with its wealth of colonial architecture. The extraordinary Chinese fishing nets are a sight to behold. These unusual, elegantly balanced, shore operated fishnets are 10m high and rumored to be of Chinese origin, possibly introduced by Zhang He. A visit to the St Francis Church is also important, since it is the oldest European church in India built in 1503. Vasco de Gama was originally buried here, before he was moved to Lisbon. The J ewish synagogue in Cochin (Closed on Saturdays) was built in 1568 and is of great historical importance. No visit to Cochin is complete without viewing its attractive collections. You will also visit the Mattancherry or Dutch Palace (Closed on Fridays). It was constructed by the Portuguese and gifted to the Raja of Kochi in 1555. Post lunch you will drive through the beautiful landscapes towards Munnar. You will arrive and check in to the hotel to spend the night.

Day 3Munnar

After breakfast proceed for a local sightseeing of Munnar and on the way visit tea plantation in Munnar. Tea lovers will be particularly fascinated by the various stages of tea processing.
You will also see the local cardamom plantation. Spices have always been an important source of trade for the region, and spices from the region are renowned all over the world. Further
proceed to hill station located at a height of 1800 meters above sea level & is famous for its mineral water springs and the beautiful landscape it offers. Later return to the hotel for overnight.

Day 4Munnar – Thekkady ( 150KMS/4HRS )

Today after breakfast, you will leave for Thekkady; the region of Periyar is synonymous with natural beauty and is home to a tiger reserve, abundant wildlife and forests. Today you will get to visit the spice plantation at Periyar; the plantations are captivating, with each section cultivating different spices. You will return to your hotel and spend the night.

Day 5Thekkady – Kumarakom ( 150KMS/4HRS )

Early morning leave for Periyar Lake to enjpy the Boat ride in the Sanctuary (Optional). Apart from Elephants, the other animals to be seen in the Periyar sanctuary are Gaur, Wild Pigs, Sambar, Barking Deer, Mouse Deer, Dole or Indian Wild Dog and very rarely, a Tiger. Later return to the Hotel for breakfast & then you will leave for Kumarakom, this is an idyllic set of islands Vembanad Lake in Kerala where you will have 2 days to relax on the backwaters of Kerala. After check inn at the Hotel you will have the opportunity to enjoy and exclusive sunset cruise (Optional). Overnight in Kumarakom.

Day 6Kumarakom - House Boat ( 50 Km / 1 Hr )

Check out from the resort and proceed to Alleppey, at noon board a houseboat, for a cruise through the enchanting backwaters enjoying the swaying coconut palms, paddy fields and the village life at close quarters. House boats locally called “kettuvallam” are available on hire on a daily basis as well as for longer duration to take visitors on the old waterways. These house boats in general have 2 bedrooms and attached bath rooms. A routine trip includes food cooked on board in the tradi- tional Kuttanad style. The leisurely cruises show a microcosm of life on the water side with breath taking views of the water, land, birds and human habitations.O/n stay at the house-

Day 7House Boat – Mararikulam ( 50KMS/ 1 HR )

Marari originates from ” Mararikulam “, one of the local fishing villages, where life still goes on much as it did a hundred years ago, with the men going out to sea each day to earn a living bringing in the daily catch. Completely new to the holiday maker. Marari offers endless miles of superb sand beaches backed by swaying palms, virgin territory where you can experience the local charm and traditional Kerala Hospitality at its best. Day 8Marari – Cochin

Proceed to Cochin Air port for onward journey as per the flight timing.
